Clean Up Corner Brook

The City of Corner Brook are encouraging individuals and groups to donate at least 30 minutes of their time on May 6th & May 7th to pick up litter on their respective properties and parking lots, neighbourhood streets, or to adopt a public green space.

Clean Up Corner Brook hopes to mobilize residents, community groups, businesses, institutions and schools on the theory that many hands make short work. It not only improves the appearance of the city, it also highlights the sense of community spirit that exits in Corner Brook, and demonstrates the responsibility we feel towards the protection of the environment.  Everyone is encouraged to select a particular part of town to clean up the litter. It may be a residential road, perhaps a neighbourhood park or public green space.

Participants are asked to register with the City so that we can acknowledge the efforts and measure success.  To register call 637-1630 or email cleanup@cornerbrook.com.  FREE garbage bags and cotton gloves will be available to community groups and individuals and can be picked up at City Hall.
