International Day for Biodiversity Hike

Join Christine Byers, MUN Botanical Garden Environmental Educator on a nature hike and learn about the ecology of the largest forest in the world, our northern boreal forest. This is an outdoor program. Everyone welcome – registration is not required. FREE!

The United Nations proclaimed May 22 the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues. This is a day to reflect on the state and value of biodiversity. The theme for 2011 is Biodiversity and Forests.
