Summer Job: NLEN Communications Assistant (Deadline: June 21)

Will produce the weekly NLEN E-Update, maintain and update NLEN website, research and write website content, and develop communications resources. Must be between 15 and 30 yrs old; have strong computer skills and writing skills; experience in developing communications and marketing strategies and working with social media are assets;  must have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year. This is a 7-week Service Canada position (July 11 – Aug 27), $10/hr, 35 hrs/wk. [Note, an earlier start / end date is also possible]. Will assist with NLEN membership outreach and planning of public education events to be held over the course of the coming year. Applicants should have a strong interest in environmental conservation and education;  background in biodiversity conservation, energy policy, natural resource management, etc. would be an asset. Must be between 15 and 30 yrs old; must have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.
