The Environmental Education Commission is seeking volunteers to help out in our kitchen during our 6 summer camps in 2017. Our preference would be for volunteers who would be available for a full camp (i.e. 3-days or 5-days), but we would also be interested in having volunteers who can stay for a minimum of 2 days. Please visit echopondsummercamp.ca for a list of camps and dates.
Volunteers would aid our 1-2 cooks in preparing healthy, homemade meals, and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy. Specifically we would like volunteers who could help with: chopping vegetables, making desserts, setting up the dining room, and washing dishes. Benefits include: complimentary meals and accommodation, spending time in our beautiful forest, getting to observe an environmental education camp in action, and access to swimming and canoes during your free time when they are not in use by campers.
Echo Pond Summer Camp is run by the Environmental Education Commission at the Brother Brennan Centre, a registered charity. We aim to make our camps as accessible to as many children as possible, and therefore rely on volunteers to help keep our prices affordable.
Volunteers will be asked to provide an up-to-date Criminal Record Check certificate.
If you are interested in volunteering with us, please send a short email letting us know your availability and a little about yourself, and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
