Conservation Corps Newfoundland and Labrador (CCNL) is a non-profit organization with a mandate to provide young people with meaningful work, training and educational opportunities in the areas of environmental and cultural heritage conservation and enhancement. The CCNL is currently seeking a confident and energetic team player to undertake the financial and administrative duties pertaining to CCNL’s operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Finance and Administration Officer will be required to prepare financial budgets and reports, including those required for annual auditing purposes, to apply accounting principles within an established accounting system to maintain accurate records of Conservation Corps’ project accounts and expenditures, to process payroll for senior and contract staff, as well as 120 summer employees and oversee various administrative duties pertaining to CCNL’s operations as directed by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of a 3-year diploma or degree in Business Administration or Commerce with focus in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience;
• strong Simply Accounting, Excel and financial planning/management skills;
• event planning and organization experience will be considered an asset; and,
• experience and knowledge of Conservation Corps and its programs will be considered an asset.
