Job Description
Successful candidates will work as part of three person team to coordinate, promote, and deliver environmental activity days for children, in partnership with local Municipalities.
This position is based out of Corner Brook but will require travel throughout the Bay of Islands and Humber Valley regions.
Anticipated Dates and Hours
July 2nd, 2014 – late August
35 hours/week. Daytime business hours, Monday – Friday.
Wages
Community Environmental Events Coordinator – $11.00 / hour
Community Environmental Events Assistant – $10.25 / hour
Qualifications
These positions are ideal for high energy youth who enjoy contributing as part of a team. Experience working with groups of children is a requirement. The successful candidates must be confident, like working in an outdoor setting and have a good understanding of environmental issues.
Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle is an asset, particularly for the Community Environmental Events Coordinator position.
If candidates do not have valid first-aid certification they must be willing to complete such prior to the first day of work.
Applicants must:
- be between the ages of 15 and 29
- have attended school (high school or post-secondary) full time in 2013-14 and be returning to school full time September 2014
